Below we will be analyzing some different grip strengtheners, how to use them and what the benefits are.

Adjustable Hand Gripper

Starting off with probably the most popular grip strengthener, the adjustable hand gripper.

What Is It

A fantastic starting place for people just starting out on their grip journey. With many different styles available it can be hard to choose which one to go for.

We prefer the classic style which is exactly why we have them manufactured for our store. Using higher quality materials these grippers will last much longer than our competitors.

Ideal for keeping on your desk at work, in your gym bag or even in the car. They can be used whenever, they really are a great grip strengthener.

Some of the features of adjustable grippers are;

  • Padded handles for extra comfort
  • Adjustable Resistance
  • Ergonomic Design
  • Consistent Performance

How Do I Use It

Really simple to use. You basically just grab it and crush it! People often are unsure what position to hold the hand gripper or which way around. The truth is, any way you can crush it is going to benefit your grip strength.

Star Gripper

Another really good grip strengthener that works best for people recovering from injuries or looking for long term benefits.

What Is It

The star is about the size of an average palm so quite large in size its great for squeezing and squashing throughout the day.

The textured feel of the star is great and can feel quite comforting in the hand.

Depending on what resistance you go for there are many benefits, some of which include;

  • Keeps good blood flow in the hands
  • Helps prevent arthiritis
  • Provides stress relief
  • Builds crush grip strength

There are 3 different resistances, easy (yellow), medium (pink and hard (blue). If your goal is recovery and rehabilitation the best choice is yellow / pink, but if your looking to build more strength then go for the blue!

How Do I Use It

Similar to a stress toy you can use this just by picking it up and squashing it. Manoeuvre it around in different positions in your hand using different fingers to squash it.

You can also try doing some holds with it. Crush it as much as you can, keeping it squashed for around 10 seconds, release it then repeat a couple more times.

Star Grippers have been one of our most popular items for a while and they really are a great grip strengthener.

Godlike Hand Gripper

Moving onto something a bit more substantial. The godlike grippers are an amazing grip strengthener if you're starting to get serious about grip.

A step up from the adjustable hand grippers. These grippers are the next level in grip training and you will see great results in a short period of time.

What Is It

The godlike grippers are a rated hand gripper, so the resistance for the gripper will always be the same. They deliver a consistent performance and can be used in a number of ways.

Available in 5 different resistances;

  • Poseidon 100lb
  • Tlaloc 150lb
  • Achilles 200lb
  • Hephaestus 250lb
  • Hades 300lb

The handles are very different compared to adjustable hand grippers. They have knurling which is designed to grip to the hand to stop slipping. Similar to a regular barbell.

This can be a little harder on the hands, but if you want to grow your grip strength then you have to roll with it!

How Do I Use It

In pretty much the same way as the adjustable hand gripper above. There is no right or wrong way to use it, as long as it feels comfortable to you.

We have included a few videos below showing ways you can use it.

Grip Ring

A great handy little thing to keep around the house. As far as grip strengtheners go this is probably the lowest budget one you will find. It's not necessarily going to blast your grip strength into oblivion but it will certainly help.

More suitable if you're suffering from wrist / hand pain it will definitely help with recovery and rehabilitation.

We usually recommend these for elderly people, golfers to keep in their golf bag or people recovering from wrist injuries, especially to start with.

What Is It

It is exactly what is says on the tin. A ring you grip! Made from high quality silicone they come in 3 different resistances, green (easy), blue (medium), orange (firm).

So there's one for everyone, ideally you would want to start off with the set so you can progress up when you feel you are strong enough to.
Then you have the option on moving onto another grip strengthener to take your grip to the next level.

How Do I Use It

Place the grip ring in the palm of your hand then squash it using your fingers. You will instantly be able to feel the muscles in your hand and forearm contracting.

A very simple but effective strengthener.

We would recommend using this throughout the day, just give it a few squeezes every hour or so.

Alternatively you can squash this instead of a work colleagues neck if you're having a bad day!

Finger Exerciser

A great little accessory that can really help strengthen your grip and improve mobility.

This accessory is going to really help your hands recover and warm up, ultimately helping prevent injury and reduce risk of arthritis.

Available in 3 different resistances, green is the most commonly  used as it is pretty easy to open fully, blue provides a stiffer challenge for most inexperienced people while orange is tough and will be a goal for most people.

How Do I Use It

At first looking at this you would have no idea how to use it! Don't worry we are all in the same boat.. Just place the rings over your fingers and larger ring in the middle on your thumb. You want it to be on your finger tips to make sure you get the full stretch.

Open and close your hand, after a couple of reps you will really feel a bit of a burn start! This is great for your finger extensors strengthening them in ways every day movements can't.

That's a wrap on some of our grip strengtheners, these are all great grip builders and easy to keep with you.
